From the 28th of August - 3rd of September 2017 the TransAlp Waterline Tour will take place through Switzerland for the 8th time.

The tour is organized by Swiss Slackline, and hosted by regional Slackline associations.

Join the Facebook Event for the latest information.

During "Bern City Slack" Festival (25. - 27. Aug) we will meet for a first Tour briefing on Sunday evening. There is however the possibility to set up the riverlines in Bern on Sunday during the Bern City Slack.

On Monday we continue to Sion, where we meet those who join just for the tour and didn't attent the Bern City Slack. We stay until Wednesday. Gotthardpass might be an option too for one day (Thursday) depending on the weather.

Thursday through Sunday we will spend in Flims.

We have a small safety meeting at 6 pm every day to discuss the next day.

We will travel together on the road or by train. All the participants will move between the locations. Organize yourself on the Facebook-Event-Wall and the doodle link for Cars and people who need a lift.

Here a Tour overview on Google Maps for the people who will be coming by car:

We stay at camping grounds for the whole tour this year so calculate about 15€ per person and night (yes, Switzerland is expensive...). We can provide breakfast for CHF 5 for those who register on-site for the next day. Lunch and Dinner will have to be organized individually (unless we find a cook and a sponsor). Details will be provided on the tour.

Most of the waterlines are already established, but there will be more to come! There will be several really long (80-150+ ) waterlines and also the possibility to rig on land or high up in the air . The gear/lines will be set up together with the local people/associations, since every spot has its restrictions.

It is recommended to bring warm, windproof clothing, bathing suit and a wetsuit if you have one. The weather cannot always be good. The stop on Gotthardpass is on 2100, and Flims on 1000 m.a.s.l. Bring also your harness for the mid- and/or highlines.
